Q: How much are HOA dues and when are they due?

A: HOA dues help take care of our community, including common areas and long-term maintenance. Payment amounts and due dates are shared on your statement and HOA notices.

Q: How can I pay my HOA dues?

A: Hickory Ridge currently accepts payments by Zelle or check. Please include your property address with your payment so it’s credited correctly.

Q: What happens if a payment is late?

A: Late payments may result in late fees and interest. If you’re having trouble, reaching out early is always appreciated.

Q: Can the HOA fine homeowners?

A: Yes, but only after proper notice and a hearing, as required by Florida law. Fines are reviewed by an independent committee.

Q: Do fines become a lien?

A: No. In Florida, fines alone cannot become a lien. Only unpaid assessments and certain charges can.

Q: Do I need approval to make changes to my home?

A: Most exterior changes need approval before work begins, including paint colors, fences, roofs, sheds, patios, and major landscaping.

Q: How long does approval take?

A: If our documents don’t say otherwise, requests are usually reviewed within 30 days, often sooner.

Q: Can homeowners attend board meetings?

A: Yes. Board meetings are generally open to Hickory Ridge homeowners.

Q: Can I see HOA records or the budget?

A: Yes. Florida law allows homeowners to review official HOA records with a written request.
